The significance of jhana and the ecstasies to the Buddha We can conclude that the attainment of jhana was a central theme to the Buddha. However, there are a lot of people claiming they know something about what the Buddha taught, but, unless they understand: jhana was the Buddha’s definition for the eighth fold of his Noble Eightfold path, jhana was his very vehicle to insight and liberation, and his definition for enlightenment, then they do not understand the dhamma of the Buddha.

Can the Ecstasies (Jhana) cause neurological damage? The language of the sacred is the charisms, so we must commune with the sacred in its language, which is the charisms.

Are the Ecstasies (jhana, samadhi) just a case of mental projection? The Ecstasies (jhana, samadhi) are not a case of mental projection, because the mind is still and ecstasy is self-arising spontaneous phenomena.
