www.youtube.com/watch?v=9tT5r-qQNEUThere seems to be a common belief in Buddhism that it is best to keep one's attainments to one's self. By doing this, however, there is little support for the individual seeker. If one does not have a close teacher / student relationship with a realized teacher, it is difficult to find validation and guidance in one's meditation experience. What do you think?

I agree Firehorse, that is why this forum and the Jhana Support Group exists. However, Ajahn Cha and his Forest Tradition followers do not seem to be providing that support, that is why the GWV forums and archives exist. In fact if you read the Witch hunt essay (link below) you will find that monks of the Forest Tradition have boycotted my work, which suggests either I am a lunatic, or they are just pretentious priests. The Witch-hunt, The Oppression of the Ecstatic Contemplatives, paper read at the 2006 CESNUR conference. www.greatwesternvehicle.org/criticism/witch-hunt.htmwww.cesnur.org/2006/sd_brooks.htmLove to all, Jhananda
