A Buddhist I have known for decades just walked passed me as if I did not exist. The reason why my dharma brothers and sisters ignore me is because I have become an Ecstatic Buddhist, and in so doing I found that the Buddhist priesthood has been engineering the Buddhist doctrine (dharma) as long as the Christian priesthood have been engineering Christian doctrine; and western Buddhist just do not want to believe it. So, as you become an ecstatic contemplative, you should be prepared to lose your friends.
May you be enlightened in this very lifetime,
Jhananda

Hello dear friend Jeffrey,
And thanks for contributing to the first gasps of dialogue here. I look forward to discussing the nature of ecstasy with you as time goes by.
Part of my approach with A Curator of Clarity (the website that links to this forum) is to recognize that dedicated ecstatic contemplatives who have a rigorous and skillful daily practice are few and far between... but that there is no reason why I (for instance) cannot use the oracular arts as a way of connecting with those who have not come to such a commitment. In this way, some of the positive effects of saturation in bliss, joy and ecstasy will get out into the world, where they can do some good. In other words, I maintain my three-times-daily meditation practice, I am rewarded through meditative absorption, and the ongoing transformation delivered by that absorption becomes evident to those with whom I work inside the "alchemical crucible" of oracular consultations.
Perhaps I will be able to identify likely candidates who will eventually find it logical to commit to a strong daily meditation practice... and then I'll be situated to help them out.
As for Buddhists and others who are religiously intolerant of ecstatic contemplatives -- their loss!!!!
Much love, Michael

The friends you lose are the ones who have no idea what it is all about. If they feel someone is a heretic, what have they learned from history? If they feel they lost their friendship what have they learned from their parents about friendship? If they learned anything about Buddhism what have they learned on the subject of love and compassion? If they have read about One Taste, what have they understood? Did they realize anything a all?

Yes, Michael and Bert, dedicated ecstatic contemplatives who have a rigorous and skillful daily meditation practice are in deed few and far between; whereas the petty and naive are far too numerous. So, I believe we dedicated ecstatic contemplatives really need to come together and form a community, because we certainly cannot depend upon the vast naive masses to value our noble effort.
Best regards, Jhananda
