It has happened some times that i read in my dreams. I see a page in a book, and i read it. but i never remember any of it when i wake up, so i can`t check what i am reading about. It used to happen a lot one or two years ago, not so much now as far as i can remember. In the same period i used to make up melodys too in my dreams. But i forgot them as soon as i woke up, unfortunately. It has also happened that i make up a new text to a song that i know, and that`s very funny, so i can wake up laughing. This doesn`t happen much anymore and i kind of miss it. Do you know anything about the meaning of these things?
And what about dreaming in other languages?I have learned english and spanish as second languages and sometimes i hear them in my dreams.

Hello Silje -- and welcome to the discussion here! Thank you for sharing this dream pattern -- I'll give a few insights that come to mind, knowing that there is no "right" answer, and that your interpretation is the one that really counts....
Books, reading, and even writing song lyrics may indicate a cycle through the Communicator archetype -- which goes with Gemini/Mercury/Third House in astrology. Differing languages also reflects from this archetype. I would imagine, then, that there is some sort of expression that wants to come through you, and that this expression is based on a desire for intellectual understanding. It is also based on the simple need to express -- to be heard, jurst s you are gathering-in information (through reading, interacting with songs, etc.). There may be some nagging issue, subject or theme in your life that has gone unresolved due to a lack of information -- like when famous scientists spend days, weeks, months and years agonizing over the details of a grand formula that remains just out of their grasp... until the answer comes to them in a dream, crystalized and complete, such that they only need to quickly jot down the main points while the dream is fresh. Perhaps if you placed pen and paper near your bed, and developed the habit of writing down your dreams (or at least dream fragments) when you happen to wake up -- even in the middle of the night -- you may be able capture some of the things that come to you. Perhaps the Next Great Novel is "baking" in your intellectual oven...!
My wife spent a year in Germany during the late 80's, and she tells me that within a couple months of arriving there, she was dreaming in German. My father, who is more fluent in Spanish than many native speakers, dreams in both English and Spanish. Seems that the dream mind uses whatever language that comes most easily to the dreamer, as if it is the path of least resistance...?
Anyway... what are you thoughts on your dreams?

i think that i used to dream about reading about two years ago. And a little while later i started to explore the alternative world, and discovered talents that i am using now. So it can be related to learning important things. And i am singing a lot more now than i did before, so the melodymaking and singing in the dreams could mean that i should express more of my musicality, because i love music, and i love to sing. So expression sounds right to me. I don`t think that i dream these things at the moment, at least i can`t remember it. But i do express myself more now than i used to, so maybe that`s why.
Is it true that loud noises can cause nightmares?I think that has happened to me a few times.
